Baby & Toddler Groups taking place in Berkshire
Are you a new parent? Or perhaps new to the area?
Baby & Toddler groups can be a great way to meet other parents and get your children socialising with other little ones of a similar age. We are very lucky to have many groups in West Berkshire and we have put together a handy list below.
West Berkshire’s Family Well-being Hubs also run several groups, for more information on these you can visit the West Berkshire Council website.
Some groups will require you to book in advance and please check that all details are correct and up to date before going along to a group listed below – days, times and venues can change and cancellations do happen so we advise contacting the groups directly before visiting.

Monday
9.30am-11:30am during term time. St Mary’s Church, New Road, Greenham, RG19 8RZ. Suggested £1 Donation.
Under 2’s only – 10am-11.30am during term time. Tilehurst Methodist Church, 26 School Road, Tilehurst, RG31 5AN. FREE admission. Advance booking required. To register for a session please click HERE.
9.30am-11am during term time. Great Shefford Village Hall, Station Road, Great Shefford, RG17 7DR. £3 per family.
10am-11:15am during term time. St Nicolas Church, West Mills, Newbury, RG14 5HG. Suggested donation of £1 per person. Bookings go live on a Wednesday evening, and you need to be quick to grab a spot!
1:30-3pm A group for babies and their parents/carers -term time. only. For babies from newborn age to crawling/cruising (approx 18 months) and their grown-ups. There is a sensory room, baby toys and plenty of tea/coffee and cake, and finish with a time of singing. No booking required. Contact sarah@st-nics.org if you would like more details!

Tuesday
Baby Song, Salvation Arm
10am-11:30am during term time. Salvation Army, Northcroft lane, Newbury, RG14 1 BU, £1.50 per child. (cash) Lovely, relaxed group, especially good for young babies. Songs, Play time and Tea and Coffee served. No bookings necessary.
10am-11:30am during term time. Village Hall, Bethesda Street, Upper Basildon, Reading, RG8 8NU. £2 per child & £1 per adult (includes a snack.)
Birth – Pre-School – 10am – 11.30am. Kennet Christian Centre, Enborne Road, Newbury, RG14 6AH. Adults and children 6 months plus £1.50 each including all activities and a snack. Babies 0 – 6 months are free. (Free hardship passes are available). Online booking essential – please click HERE.

9am-11am including during school holidays. Kingsclere Village Club, 35 George Street, Kingsclere, RG20 5NH. No need to book, just turn up and pay as you go. The price is £2.50, then 50p for an extra child and £1 for an extra adult.
0 – 3 years from 9.45am-11.15am. St Mary’s Church, St Mary’s Avenue, Purley-on-Thames, RG8 8BJ. £3 per session (£1 for under 6 months) refreshments for adults (tea/coffee and biscuits) and children (water/juice, biscuits and fruit) included in the price. No booking required.

Twin Club Newbury – Runs every other Friday from 9:30am-12:30pm. Ecchinswell Village Hall & Recreational Centre, Ecchinswell Road, Ecchinswell, RG20 4UB. A supportive coffee play morning for families of twins or multiples – £5 per family.
