We had a such great evening at Arlington Arts, soaking up the sounds of local favourite Joe Hicks and enjoying an all-round brilliant night of live music.
Kicking things off was support act Lydia Clowes, who set the tone with her warm, soothing vocals. Her set carried a relaxed feel which was perfect for easing into the night.
Then came Joe Hicks, a locally raised artist, now celebrating his new album Before It Gets Dark. Lifting the energy, he showed himself to be an accomplished guitarist and incredible vocalist. It may have been our first time seeing him live and hearing this latest material, but it certainly didn’t feel like it! It was a polished performance with the lighting seamlessly synced to the music. The new material is great and definitely one to check out.
We always enjoy going to see performances at The Arlington Arts, and especially enjoyed seeing Joe Hicks. It was such a great atmosphere with expertly crafted songs from start to finish!
