Bird Walk at The Nature Discovery Centre

This walk is about 1km in length and is a stroll around the lake primarily to see and identify the birds on the water and also visit the two bird hides and see if we can identify any birds lurking in the hedgerows.  Free event but please boot tickets HERE.

The Kintbury 5 2024

Sunday 12th May at 11am

The Kintbury 5 is a five mile run organized by the Kintbury St Mary’s Primary School PTA with the support of local runners.  All profits help to raise funds for Kintbury St Mary’s Primary School, providing vital resources to support the children in their learning and development.  Minimum age: 15 years.  £17 unaffiliated | £16 affiliated.  Enter HERE.

The 80th Anniversary of D-Day West Berkshire Museum

To commemorate the 80th anniversary year of D-Day West Berkshire Museum will be screening Working in Shadows, an archive film of workers at Elliotts of Newbury during the Second World War.  Younger visitors can also make a pair of World War II aviator goggles from card, cellophane, and sticky tape.
