NEW Virtual Reality Experience Coming to Thatcham!

meetspaceVR, the UK’s first arena-scale, free-roam, multiplayer virtual reality [VR] entertainment centre is opening its next venue in Thatcham, on Friday 17th June.

Here’s what they told us about it:

“Visitors will be able to experience the very best in virtual reality gaming, all under one roof. With a huge variety to choose from, meetspaceVR in Thatcham will become the hub for virtual and augmented reality experiences in the Thames Valley.

Amongst the selection of mind-blowing VR experiences will be Zero Latency VR, the global leaders in warehouse scale, multiplayer, free-roam virtual reality. Players can expect to enter the most immersive digital worlds in the industry, with up to 8 of their friends. Games range from a whimsical walking adventure that defies gravity to an exhilarating zombie apocalypse experience. Zero Latency is suitable for ages 10-12+.

Designed for younger gamers and families is the Immersive Playzone, an interactive playspace featuring the best in kids’ immersive entertainment. Players can battle it out in the VR Quest Arena or step into a life-sized game console with the Interactive Play Wall.

The centre will also host well-known tethered VR experiences such as mind-bending VR Escape Rooms and the VR Arcade, where players can challenge their friends to some classic arcade-style games.

Situated in Thatcham, just 30 minutes away from central Reading, the centre is located on an industrial estate with free on-site parking.

meetspaceVR already has 3 successful VR centres across the UK in Nottingham, Birmingham and London, Wembley.

John Lilley, CEO of meetspaceVR says:

“We have been lucky over the past 2 years to have such amazing and supportive customers. It is testimony to our teams and our experiences that we have bounced back and started our growth story once again across the UK, starting in Reading. As home VR gaming grows in the UK, we are fully focussed on delivering social, free-roam experiences that are quite simply mind-blowing and cannot be achieved at home. Our experience really challenges the senses and makes for a very special experience. We cannot wait to hear the screams and whoops of delight ring out across the venue.”

The public can now pre-book their slots online at www.meetspacevr.co.uk ahead of the official opening on Friday 17th June.”
