Would you like to run your own business? Choose your own hours and be your own boss? West Berkshire Family Life is looking for a new owner (or owners) and this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
You would be taking on an established, well-known business with an existing client base and an engaged and supportive community. Some experience in writing, editing, marketing or social media would be beneficial but is not necessary. I will be on hand to show you how everything works before you take over. Passion and enthusiasm are the main attributes needed!
If you love West Berkshire, sharing your knowledge with others, like to get out & about with your family, have a good idea of family events and activities in the area and enjoy supporting local businesses then you are just what West Berkshire Family Life is looking for.
As Editor and owner of West Berkshire Family, these are some of the tasks you’ll need to carry out:
- Processing membership card requests
- Updating the What’s On calendar
- Visiting clients and local businesses/children’s classes
- Social media content creation
- Social media engagement
- Researching and writing blogs
- Writing website features about clients
- Liaising with clients
- Finding new clients
- Creating newsletters
- Checking and responding to emails & enquiries
This is not an exhaustive list! It is a varied and interesting role and would suit a local mum or dad with young children. It is also something that could be shared between two (or more) people.
